  • You may cancel your reservation online at any time up to 72 hours prior to scheduled departure. We run rain or shine, unless dangerous weather conditions are occurring or imminent, based on the judgment of Revolution Rail Co. If we cancel a tour because of dangerous weather conditions, riders will get full refunds.

  • We run rain or shine, unless dangerous weather conditions are occurring or imminent. Our guides will make real time weather decisions about cancelling or delaying. It is always a good idea to bring a rain coat or windbreaker, and bring a change of clothes just in case. If WE cancel a tour based on dangerous conditions riders will receive full refunds.

  • Absolutely! There is no minimum (or maximum!) age limit. Infants and children under 25 pounds may ride with an adult in a baby bjorn style harness. Please supply your own. Car seats are not allowed, as they don’t fit in the seats safely. Children able to sit up on their own or who are above 25 pounds must have their own seat, and may use our five point harness to keep them safely riding. Lap riding is not allowed as it is unsafe. Children under the age of 15 must ride with an adult on the same railbike.

  • Yes, there is a 300 lb weight limit per rider per seat.

  • Bring your camera, water, sunscreen, snacks, insect repellent, and appropriate outerwear based on the weather forecast (hats, windbreakers, rain gear, etc.).

  • Do not bring your pets, any drugs, or glass containers. Additionally, smoking is not permitted.

  • Each run is different but as long as there is one person able to pedal the bike, than anyone of any age or ability can join on the ride. It is best enjoyed at a leisurely pace to give you a chance to take in your surroundings.

    On average, each leg of the trip is about 30-40 minutes of ride time with a 10-20 minute break while the hosts turn the bikes around. If you’re able to comfortably walk for 1.5 hours, than you should be able to ride the railbike in stride.

  • NEW YORK TRIPS

    The North Bridge Run (North Creek, NY) is offered daily at 10am, 12pm, 2pm and 4pm, with an 8am trip offered on weekends during high season. Railbike and Tubing Combo trips are available on Tuesdays and Saturdays at 12pm only during the summer.

    The South River Run (North Creek, NY) is offered daily at 9am, 11am, 1pm, 3pm and 5pm.

    The Hadley Run (Hadley, NY) is offered daily at 10:30am, 12:30pm, 2:30pm and 4:30pm, with an 8:30 am trip offered on weekends during high season.

    The Stony Creek Run (Warrensburg, NY) is offered Thursday – Sunday at 9am, 11:30am, 2pm, and 4:30pm.

    NEW JERSEY TRIPS

    The Cape May Run (Cape May, NJ) is offered daily at 10am, 12pm, 2pm and 4pm, with 8am and 6pm trips offered during the high season.

    COLORADO TRIP

    The Rio Grande Run (South Fork, CO) is offered daily at 9am, 11am, 1pm, 3pm and 5pm. Railbike and Rafting Combo Trips available Mon-Friday at 9am and 1pm.

  • A trip on a quad bike, which seats up to 4 people, costs $160 + $10 in fees. A trip on a double bike, which seats up to 2 people, costs $90 + $6 in fees.

  • Trip times range from 1.5-2.5 hours, depending on location. We invite you to arrive 20 minutes early and hangout with us before your departure time.
