This majestic 9 mile round trip follows the path of our very popular run from Thurman depot to 1000 Acre Ranch. Pedaling up the tracks as dusk begins, riders will enjoy mountain views of the Three Sisters Range while riding along the mighty Hudson as it widens and fills this Adirondack valley. Entering Stony Creek, riders come into the vibrant 1000 Acre Ranch seated below Deer Leap Mountain where you can enjoy the Ranch’s grounds. As the moon rises, riders will glide alongside the Hudson and a whole new nocturnal adventure begins. This is the time for raptors, eagles, and hawks hunting along the river as a variety of other wildlife emerges. We light up our bikes so that a glowing train courses down the tracks and our naturalist will be available for stories and any questions. Bring along flashlights, or headlamps and be ready for other night time surprises!
