KNOW BEFORE
YOU RIDE

WHAT IS YOUR CANCELLATION/REFUND POLICY?

Riders may cancel for a full refund at any time up to 72 hours prior to scheduled departure. If you wish to cancel, please send us an email at [email protected], or call us at 1-888-REV-0123.  If you can’t get through, please leave us a message letting us know you’d like to cancel.

WHAT DO YOU DO ABOUT BAD WEATHER?

We run rain or shine, unless dangerous weather conditions are occurring or imminent. Our guides will make real time weather decisions about cancelling or delaying.  It is always a good idea to bring a rain coat or windbreaker, and bring a change of clothes just in case.  If WE cancel a tour based on dangerous conditions riders will receive full refunds.

CAN KIDS COME ALONG?

Absolutely! There is no minimum (or maximum!) age limit. Infants and children under 25 pounds may ride with an adult in a baby bjorn style harness. You may either use your own or one of our harness. Car seats are not allowed, as they don’t fit in the seats safely. Children able to sit up on their own or who are above 25 pounds must have their own seat, and may use our five point harness to keep them safely riding. Lap riding is not allowed as it is unsafe. Children under the age of 15 must ride with an adult on the same railbike.

IS THERE A WEIGHT LIMIT FOR THE BIKES?

Yes, there is a 300 lb weight limit per rider per seat.

WHAT SHOULD I BRING?

Bring your camera, water, sunscreen, snacks, insect repellent, and appropriate outerwear based on the weather forecast (hats, windbreakers, rain gear, etc.).

WHAT SHOULD I NOT BRING?

Do not bring your pets, any drugs, any alcohol, or glass containers. Additionally, smoking is not permitted.

HOW DIFFICULT IS IT?

Each run is different but as long as there is one person able to pedal the bike, than anyone of any age or ability can join on the ride.  It is best enjoyed at a leisurely pace to give you a chance to take in your surroundings.

On average, each leg of the trip is about 30-40 minutes of ride time with a 10-20 minute break while the hosts turn the bikes around.  If you’re able to comfortably walk for 1.5 hours, than you should be able to ride the railbike in stride.
